Fifth Week; Short Week

Short Week

"A short week still holds the potential for growth—sometimes, less time just means making every moment count."

Fifth week of school, this week of mine contains only 3 days of school. Do you know why? Well, last Monday, August 26, was a holiday due to National Heroes Day, so we started our last week of August on Tuesday, August 27. Then, on August 28, an earthquake hit here in Masbate, leading to the suspension of face-to-face classes for building inspection.

The earthquake was a bit unsettling, and I could feel the tension in the air as everyone waited for updates. Fortunately, no major damage was reported, but safety always comes first. It was strange to have an unexpected break, but it also gave me some time to reflect on how quickly things can change.

Despite the disruptions, I tried to stay productive. I used the extra time to catch up on some readings and prepare for upcoming assignments. It wasn't the typical week I had in mind, but it reminded me of the importance of adaptability. I also took a moment to appreciate the resilience of our community, as everyone came together to ensure safety and support each other during the unexpected events.

The shorter week, things still felt busy. On Tuesday, we quickly dove back into our lessons, but it felt nice to ease into the week after the long weekend. It's always interesting to see how much we can pack into just a few days, and this week was no exception.

Thanks to our responsible President for always reminding us all the things that is needed to be done.🤗

But even with the shortened week, there’s always something new to learn and experiences to gain. I feel like every week, no matter how brief, adds another layer to my school journey.💗

Realization

This week taught me the importance of staying adaptable when unexpected events disrupt plans. It reminded me to appreciate the strength of our community and to use downtime productively, even when things don’t go as expected.
